the world is a mess...

Aaaarrrggghhh!! Want to know about Torchwood but no time to watch it!!! Saw the first two and then couldn't see any more.

But tell me, is it good?

We have 'had it out' and, I hope, things have reached a peaceful equilibrium. Many things over the past year have been misinterpreted on both sides, and there is no blame to be placed. The recent events brought everything to a head, until breaking point was reached.

I'm never going to mix my online life with my real life in the same way again. While it might work for some people, it doesn't for me. Occasional meetings are fine, but I've been burned twice now and it really hurts. I'm mentally and emotionally drained following the past week and can't go through this sort of thing on any regular basis.

I'm truly sorry for it all and hope I can be forgiven for any hurt I caused.

I'm in complete shock right now.

Let me say publicly: I have never threatened to do anything to anybody personally, financially, online or otherwise. I would never do anything. To be accused of anything of this nature is a personal attack that has hurt me to the core. I've been hurt in so many ways in the past that I would never want to do the same to somebody else.

If any hurt has been caused, it was unintentional. All I ever wanted to do was simply move rooms. I find it hard to comprehend that something so simple and ended up in such a messy situation. I'm upset and confused and I don't know what to do.

If there is one person or more on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

David Eddings has died, aged 77.

I haven't read his entire works, but the Belgariad was one of the first fantasy series I read following The Wheel Of Time - I only started reading fantasy when I was 17. I borrowed Wheel of Time from a friend at school, and then my roommate in my first year of University gave me her copies of the Belgariad, then the Mallorean, to read.

My thoughts go out to his family.

Just watched Dollhouse from yesterday.

Alan Tudyk blew me away.

I've never placed a bet on the Grand National, though every year I pick a horse before the race.

This year I feel compelled to actually make a bet, since there's a horse named after one of my Top 5 TV Shows Of All Time (TM): State of Play.

It seems to be as logical a reason for picking a horse as any other.

Not feeling great.

Watched Dollhouse yesterday. Enjoyed it, so looking forward to more. Especially the character development because characters are where Joss rules. Anyway, I've been trying to work out where I know Olivia Williams from, and I think it must be Emma from the mid-90s, because looking at her IMDB page, there's not really anything else on there that leaps out.

It seems that Loudtwitter decided to work for me for one day, before throwing up its hands in disgust and giving up.

Rubbish.

I wrote a whole long entry on my phone the other night when I was in York and it got swallowed up.

If LJ crumbles I will be most perturbed, given that I paid for a permanent account.

At work, but back to York tonight for dentist appointment tomorrow.

Well, I doubt anyone predicted that.

Looks like the wait until 2010 will be interesting. I can't comment on his previous work, but I'm glad they've gone for someone 'unknown' as it were. So I look forward to seeing what he does with the role.

The new Doctor will be revealed tomorrow.

I am hoping to like the choice. I really am. But I'll miss Ten an awful lot when he goes.
